Polytetraflouroethylene (TFE) and Kynar - PVDF both are on allocation.

TFE sheet  products, PTFE (TFE) along with Kynar-PVDF  manufacturing requires a mineral called Fluorspar that is mined in Mongolia and China. The worldwide interest in this mineral has increased significantly, and also the supply has tightened. PTFE materials have high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance and very low co-efficient of friction (slick) and is used in a lot of purposes from non-stick fry griddles to ptfe tape for personal use. This particular mineral is actually the crucial raw material within the manufacturing of fluoropolymers, fluorolubricants and quite a few refrigerants.This increase in demand paired with shortage of raw materials is mainly responsible for a dramatic price increase (almost double in the last year), shortages, and we expect these two factors to stay in affect in the near future.
